Mary Geisler's Story

So much can be said about Mary Geisler Jewelry, but to know her jewelry is to know a deep part of her soul. Each piece comes from a place of pure heart and inspiration.

Mary grew up in Nebraska and attended Buena Vista University in Iowa where she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Art degree.  In the mid 80’s she moved to Dallas where she learned numerous skills in the business world, but none would serve her more than when she started her journey in custom jewelry making. During her time volunteering at two local charities benefiting women and children, she found inspiration in the donated jewelry.  She repaired, and sometimes recreated pieces, for the charities to sell.  Quickly gaining confidence using torches and blades, she soon found herself passionately collecting tools for her own and making space in a spare bedroom that soon doubled as a workroom.

By the time Mary moved to East Texas in 2014 she was creating jewelry in her very own studio.  As she creates, she continues to expand her skill in the field from other knowledgeable artisans. She is drawn to world and indigenous techniques, such as from third-generation artisans in Bali, and this adds to the entrancing allure of her one-of-a-kind pieces.

Mary uses precious and semi-precious stones set in sliver, with gold accents to add warmth and interest, and she always knows exactly where she purchased the stone.  If you have time to linger and visit with her, she can also tell you magical stories such as finding beautiful sapphires in a small rural village and meeting a lapidary artist who cuts them under a wood canopy behind his home. This artist finds something special in everything about the jewelry making process, and it’s no wonder that her pieces reflect the true core of an artisan.

Come see for yourself how special it is to own a timeless piece of Mary Geisler Jewelry, and you too can become a part of the story.
