Unlock the artistry of weaving with our specialized Heddle Loom weekend workshop! Perfect for those who have a basic understanding of weaving, but is not required. This workshop weekend dives deep into the unique features and techniques of the heddle loom, providing you with the skills to create beautiful woven textiles with confidence. You’ll learn Heddle loom set up, weaving techniques, design and pattern creation, tension and adjustment skills, and project finishing techniques while you complete a tote bag project with flower embellishment. Schedule for the 3-day workshop: --Friday at 6:30 PM, begin the workshop @ Vanora Studio (215 N Main, Winnsboro 75494) with the introduction to the Heddle Loom and how to warp the loom. Light refreshments provided. --Saturday 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, we start our tote bag weaving project; we will break for lunch (provided) --Saturday 6:30 PM at Oaklea Mansion location (407 S Main Street, Winnsboro 75494), workshop participants will enjoy an evening of fellowship and fiber flower making at Flower Fun! Workshop (Non-workshop participants of the weekend weaving workshop are also invited to attend! Cost is $10. Purchase under "Flower Fun" in the main class listings) --Sunday 9:30-11:30 AM, at Vanora Studio we will sew our tote bags together and add our flower embellishments from the night before. Level: This class is designed for those with some weaving experience, but not required. If you're ready to dive into the world of weaving, this class is for you! Location: Vanora Studio, 215 N Main, Winnsboro TX 75494 Supplies: Heddle Table Loom available for use and all materials provided including yarn and instructional handouts. **SPECIAL NOTE** This class only, we will draw one name from workshop participants and they will be given a Heddle loom (same one used during the weekend!) for their very own.
